August 2022 Featured Business

by Clare Milton

August 25 - 28, 2022

Blistered Fingers Aug22The last weekend in August brings an exciting opportunity to experience Bluegrass music at its best. Top name acts from Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York State, Virginia, Massachusetts and Maine will be sharing their talents at the Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Music Festival in Litchfield on August 25–28, 2022! This family-friendly festival is the 57th production created by Sandy and Greg Cormier of Blistered Fingers Production Inc. Their family band, Blistered Fingers, has performed all over the Northeast, Canada, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and venues across the US.

Sandy and Greg thought it would be an awesome idea for them to bring their Bluegrass musician friends to Maine, and have found a perfect venue at the Litchfield Fairgrounds. The safe, fl at, fenced-in festival grounds are ready to host vendors, spectators and crafters for an all-inclusive experience.

The festival is open for a full week of camping on Sunday, August 21 at 8AM. Just $10 per night will secure your spot to tent or park any sized RV. A one time charge of $35 will cover your electrical hookup, plus access to indoor bathroom facilities, showers, security and medics for the entire event. Come early and mingle with other campers and musicians and jam by the campfire while relaxing in the clean Maine air and star-filled sky!

August in Maine is truly a time to enjoy the outdoors, family and friends. Sandy tells me that the festival brings together family reunions, and generations of both musicians and visitors who look forward to experiencing this event together. Blistered Fingers believes in passing down the music to the next generation by offering a “Kids Academy” three-day learning with a stage performance.

A huge tent covers the performance area, so bring your lawn chairs, and experience bluegrass music at its fi nest! Rain or shine the music will go on. The midway highlights vendors, crafters and food trucks to provide an all-inclusive festival.
