A sure sign of spring brings the joy of “Spring Drives” on the back roads in Maine. Take a ride to the China Lake region down Lakeview Drive towards South China and you’ll find a true sign that spring has arrived! “MAJEK’S IS OPEN!”
MAJEK’S sign welcomes you for a treat for your taste buds! I asked owner Mike how they got their name? He said it stands for his and his kids initials.
MAJEK’S opened in the spring of 2011. He started with a lunch trailer and some picnic tables. Fried whole belly clams and clam strips, and chicken baskets are favorites. They have increased their offerings to include burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Their fresh clear Maine lobster meat rolls melt in your mouth. You can savor every bite without having to drive to the coast! They also serve Maine lobster dinners. You can also purchase live lobsters and clams to create your own lobster dinners at home or camp.
About 7 years ago, Mike and his partner Aundrea decided to build the restaurant. They enlarged the kitchen and created a stunning dining room. Knotty pine ceilings and trim invite you into their friendly air-conditioned room. “Trip Advisor” has named them their #1 Seafood Restaurant overall 4 years in a row.
Enjoy a warm spring day, take a drive to China and let Mike, Aundrea and staff create for you, Maine cuisine at its best at MAJEK!
